保时捷创始人和大众汽车创始人是同一个人

费迪南德·保时捷（又译费迪南德·波尔舍，Ferdinand Porsche）(1875年9月3日 – 1951年1月30日)是著名的德国汽车工程师，他对以往的汽车进行了革命性的更改，奠定了今天汽车摸样，设计了甲壳虫汽车，保时捷公司的创始人。1875年9月3日，费迪南德·保时捷出生于奥匈帝国波西米亚北部的玛弗斯多夫(现属捷克)的一个铁匠世家。1951年1月30日，从沃尔夫斯堡返回斯图加特的途中因中风逝世，享年77岁。
 
德国二战之前计划建立“大众的汽车”，为此他求助于奥地利人费迪南德·波尔舍。波尔舍为大众设计出了第一款、也是最广为人知的经典车型——甲壳虫。二战结束后，波尔舍在德国南部城市斯图加特建立起了自己的保时捷汽车王国。
